Welcome
The 9th International Discussion Meeting on Relaxations in Complex Systems (9 IDMRCS) will be held from August 12 to August 18, 2023, at the international conference hall in a Japanese largest class international convention complex Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
This is the first IDMRCS outside of Europe after eight previous successful meetings: Crete, Greece (1990), Alicante, Spain (1993), Vigo, Spain (1997), Crete, Greece (2001), Lille, France (2005), Rome, Italy (2009), Barcelona, Spain (2013) and Wisła, Poland (2017). The participants in the previous eight Meetings were from EU member states and the associated states, with significant participation from United States, China, Japan, Russia, Canada, India, Korea, and Australia. In the 7th Barcelona Meeting in 2013, there were about 800 registered participants, and more than 600 in Wisła in 2017.
The organizing committee believes that more important new results will be collected in 2023 by postponing the meeting for two years. Please gather in Japan!

Scope
9 IDMRCS has an interdisciplinary program with the purpose of harvesting new results and pointing out new directions, challenges and opportunities in diverse areas of research of relaxations in complex systems. The technical sessions will be organized to bring out the advances made by colleagues from disciplines including physics, chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, metallurgy, rheology, computational science and various sciences of colloids, surfactants, liquid crystals, polymers, biopolymers, glasses, granular matter, ionic conductors, ionic liquids, water and solutions, nanostructured matter, nanocomposites, pharmaceuticals, food, and soft matter in general. 9IDMRCS consists of the following 41 symposia.
